Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Manager, PMO Agile Lead to partner with Commercialization BI&T leadership and drive transformational initiatives across the Commercialization portfolio.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary PMO Agile Lead, owning the full agile delivery lifecycle across one or more workstreams.
- Establish and enforce agile best practices, standards, and PMO-aligned reporting cadences.
- Maintain Jira-based project tracking and dashboards (sprint boards, epics, roadmaps, burndown charts) for real-time stakeholder visibility.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives); remove impediments/blockers.
- Coach teams on Agile/Scrum; support development of Product Owners.
- Manage Jira product backlog (epics/stories/tasks) to ensure grooming, clarity, prioritization, and sprint readiness; define/communicate product vision, goals, and acceptance criteria.
- Act as Jira power user (workflows, custom fields, dashboards, automation); use advanced Jira reporting (velocity, cumulative flow, sprint reports).
- Integrate Jira with OnePlan and other PMO tools as needed.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (data scientists, ML engineers, software developers, business stakeholders) and provide stakeholder status/risk/issue updates.
- Facilitate continuous improvement via retrospectives; optimize agile processes and PMO practices.
- Track/report KPIs and present progress reports to PMO leadership.
- Identify risks/issues and develop mitigation strategies; resolve issues with urgency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/engineering or related field.
- 5+ years experience as both Scrum Master and Product Owner delivering complex software projects within a PMO structure.
- Expert Jira proficiency (backlog management, sprint configuration, workflow automation, advanced dashboards/reporting).
- Strong Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and PMO governance knowledge.
- Ability to operate independently as dual Scrum Master/Product Owner without dedicated PO support.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- CSM/PSM, CSPO/PSPO, PMI-ACP or PMP; Master’s degree.
- Pharma commercialization and data experience.
- Proficient in Jira and PPM software; OnePlan experience a plus.
