Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Patient Services and Distribution Effectiveness drives performance insights and operational excellence across the patient support and product distribution network. The role combines analytical rigor with cross-functional collaboration to optimize onboarding, access, reimbursement, and ongoing treatment journeys for patients, translating data into scalable process improvements that enhance patient and provider experiences.
Responsibilities
- Leverage analytics tools to interpret data from Hub, SP, SD, and 3PL channels to identify operational insights and growth opportunities.
- Define patient support and access KPIs, develop routine reporting, and monitor trends and performance of patient support programs and distribution activities.
- Lead the creation of a unified patient funnel dashboard to identify leakage points and improve visibility across HUB, SP, SD, and Direct Pharmacy workflows.
- Support deployment and prioritization of Field Access Managers and Patient Access Managers, deep-diving into data analytics to identify key drivers in onboarding, reimbursement, and adherence/refill processes.
- Partner with the distribution team to establish KPIs and scorecards to monitor distribution partners and ensure service levels meet expectations.
- Enhance QBR frameworks by integrating action-oriented insights, root-cause analysis, and performance tiering to drive accountability with distribution partners.
- Collaborate with patient support and distribution teams to standardize reporting metrics across the organization; work with sales, marketing, trade, and market access to optimize programs and patient experience.
- Coordinate with IT and data management teams to ensure data warehousing and reporting requirements are met; ensure data quality and availability from all vendors.
- Integrate MMIT formulary data with Market Access to link payer access dynamics to patient performance and leakage mitigation strategies.
- Create compelling data visualizations to communicate solutions to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Monitor SP, Hub, and SD product distribution performance; develop predictive models to identify patients for proactive intervention.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports and insights for patient onboarding and ongoing support services; enhance QBR reports and align pre-QBR activities with partners.
- Integrate new datasets to create analyses and dashboards, including subnational onboarding metrics and HUB vs. Direct Pharmacy comparisons to inform channel strategy and field deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
- Approximately 8 years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, patient services, and distribution networks; experience in rare disease markets is a plus.
- Experience with pharmaceutical data sources including specialty pharmacy, hub, claims, market access, and distribution data.
- Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills; ability to think creatively and strategically to answer key business questions.
- Advanced Excel modeling and statistical analysis, with proficient PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment; excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills for interaction with management and vendors.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to discuss details with management and translate data into actionable insights.
- Project management and organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize; sense of urgency without compromising quality.
- Experience with reporting and dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
- Must be able to travel on occasion.

Education
