KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Map patient journey workflows and flag barriers to patient access using ML techniques (e.g., dropout prediction, conversion likelihood scoring, prior authorization approval modeling).
- Develop and maintain advanced analytics solutions (supervised/unsupervised ML, statistical models, segmentation frameworks) to explain drivers and barriers impacting patient outcomes.
- Support dashboards that provide visibility into access solution performance (Copay, FRMs, Prior Authorization enablement).
- Use third-party vendors (IQVIA, Symphony, Relay Health, CoverMyMeds) to facilitate and accelerate patient journeys.
- Identify and escalate key business issues related to program execution/performance with consideration of stakeholder perspectives.
- Partner with Market Access and Brand APEX teams to onboard and drive adoption of ML-driven tools/capabilities.
- Collaborate with Copay Center of Excellence, AbbVie Patient Services, Data Operations, BTS, and Brand teams; communicate data reliability/timeliness/metric hygiene gaps.
- Support copay forecasting and insights into impacts from copay design changes and industry/competitor actions.
- Partner with Data Operations and BTS to deploy models into production, monitor, and retrain to maintain consistency.
- Work with contractors and external suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required (Business/Analytics/Economics/Math/Statistics/Engineering or related); Masterโ€™s in quantitative/data science a plus.
- 7+ yearsโ€™ experience in quantitative analysis of operational/sales/marketing data to optimize a patient/customer funnel.
- Hands-on predictive modeling experience (logistic regression, XGBoost/LightGBM, random forests, clustering).
- Knowledge of pharma ecosystem/datasets (preferred).
- Manager-level competencies: anticipate needs, build partnerships, design/implement innovative solutions, communicate insights.
- Python or R required; scikit-learn/XGBoost experience; MLflow/Databricks/Azure ML/AWS SageMaker familiarity a plus.
- NLP/text analytics (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, LLM approaches) a plus.
- BI tools (Qlik/Tableau/Power BI) and SQL/HIVE/IMPALA preferred.
