Purpose:
- Execute standard and ad-hoc business analytics for the ME (Medical Engagement) team to inform strategic opportunities, recommendations, data maturation, and automated analytics processes across therapeutic areas globally.
Responsibilities:
- Lead analytics projects using claims and business data analysis with internal/external datasets (including big data) to identify utilization insights.
- Apply knowledge of the U.S. healthcare landscape and AbbVie therapeutic areas to proactively address opportunities and threats.
- Build cross-functional relationships (HEOR, RWD/E, therapeutic areas, operations, BTS/IR) to achieve individual and enterprise goals.
- Use data analytics, data science concepts, and modeling to identify care barriers and support education aligned to standards of care and published guidelines to improve patient care.
- Lead stakeholder/supplier management and deliver analytical learnings and strategies.
- Advise on data/analytics infrastructure enhancements and optimize analytics through data cleaning, mining, visualization, and descriptive statistics across global infrastructures.
- Ensure documentation for code, methodologies, and design documents.
- Anticipate and lead development of analytics capabilities strategically.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 7 years professional experience; 5+ years in marketing/sales/HEOR/business analytics.
- Proficient in R, SQL, Python, SAS, and data visualization tools.
- Strong storytelling; ability to communicate complex data.
- Working knowledge of syndicated pharmaceutical data (RWD/claims/EMR).
- Expert PowerPoint proficiency.
