Role Summary
Senior Manager, Market Supply Planning and New Product Launch – Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid) — lead the planning process to support US launches and manage supply chain activities from 12 months prior to launch through 6 months post-launch, coordinating with global and US teams to ensure successful new product introductions.
Responsibilities
- Define, maintain, and sustain the planning process for launch products
- Lead US market supply chain planning activities for all assigned projects from 12 months prior to launch through 6 months post launch and transition to the in-line planning function
- Prioritize and support top launches, standard launches, relaunches, and site transfers for all US Commercial business units (Biosimilars, Generics, and Innovative)
- Establish strong working relationships with GPIO, NPL, NPS, Site and Market Supply Chain teams
- Align with GPIO’s Launch Excellence process and recommend improvements to meet business objectives
- Participate in new product launch meetings and S&OP forums, providing guidance to ensure supply chain readiness
- Escalate issues and decisions to appropriate forums
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with all stakeholders, including GPIO, site, Commercial partners, and distribution center
- Oversee daily activities to ensure adherence to supply chain policy and timely completion of tasks
- Own and manage planning master data (e.g., Source List, Purchase Info Record, Safety stock settings)
- Develop scenario plans for supply and demand using standardized MPS templates
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, issues, and opportunities and communicate them to stakeholders
- Ensure aligned net requirements are sent to supplying site, GSC, or TPIG to support procurement, production, and packaging
- Deliver and maintain a balanced finished goods supply plan based on the aligned forecast
- Monitor launch inventory and implement mitigation plans to meet regional targets
- Achieve schedule, service, inventory, and forecast KPIs
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and communication
- Influence stakeholders to gain buy-in and maintain relationships
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain/operations
- Deep knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, new product introductions, and S&OP
- Experience with SAP IBP, APO, ECC preferred
- Pharmaceutical experience desirable but not required
- PMP or APICS certification desirable
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Experience in a global matrix environment with ability to handle ambiguity
- Self-motivated team player with urgency and results orientation
