About the Role
The Senior Manager, Learning & Development is an individual contributor who designs, develops, and delivers high-impact learning experiences across the organization.
What Youβll Do
- Apply adult learning theory and design thinking to design, develop, pilot, and deliver engaging learning experiences using the 70:20:10 model across multiple modalities, considering accessibility, cultural nuances, and regional needs.
Learning Experience Design
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and HR Business Partners to assess learning needs and capability gaps.
- Curate, develop, and customize content from internal and external sources.
- Create course assets and communications for cross-functional, multi-level global audiences.
- Champion innovative approaches such as social learning, microlearning, and emerging technologies and AI.
Cohort-Based Learning Program Management
- Lead design, development, administration, and facilitation of cohort-based learning programs (program architecture, participant journey mapping).
- Manage full program lifecycle: enrollment, communications, scheduling, facilitator coordination, and post-program evaluation.
Learning Experience Facilitation
- Serve as a lead facilitator for high-engagement workshops in-person and virtually.
Learning Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze learning data and feedback to measure effectiveness and ROI and identify improvements.
- Ensure solutions close capability gaps and align with culture, goals, and strategy.
- Support toolkits/resources for scalable HR Business Partner delivery.
- Stay current on L&D trends, AI, and tools, especially facilitation and cohort learning.
Who You Are
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, Education, or related field.
- 6+ years of Learning & Development experience (facilitation and instructional design required). Pharma/biotech experience is a plus.
Additionally You Are Or You Have
- Experience designing training across synchronous/asynchronous modalities (ILT, eLearning, social learning).
- Cohort program design/management (journey design, milestone planning, multi-session facilitation).
- Global, cross-functional, multi-level audience learning design experience.
- Proficiency with Articulate 360, Synthesia, Intrepid, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and other learning/content tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong project management; manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, design thinking, and current L&D trends.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with LMS/LXS; Workday Learning or Sana Learn is a plus.
Travel Requirements
- Domestic travel approximately <5% based on business needs.
