Senior Manager β IT Finance (Foster City, CA β No Remote available)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of finance and boundary applications to ensure stability, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
- Drive end-to-end delivery (enhancements, implementations, system lifecycle management).
- Serve as system owner with support, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead vendor coordination (performance management, issue resolution, roadmap alignment).
- Partner with Finance teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Oversee program planning and execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Manage escalations, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
Finance Solution Leadership
- Provide functional and operational leadership across boundary finance systems.
- Own the BlackLine platform (Account Reconciliations support/enhancements/roadmap; transition/optimization of support models; continuous improvement and best practices).
- Oversee capabilities across: 2Klicks, GLSU, Alliant Royalties, OneSource, Salesforce PRM.
Business Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Finance to define priorities, translate needs into system capabilities, advise leaders, and communicate delivery progress, risks, and system performance.
Program Delivery & Governance
- Lead initiation/planning/execution; establish governance for delivery, contract management, and vendor oversight; ensure adherence to enterprise standards, compliance, and audit controls.
Cross-Functional Integration
- Ensure integration between boundary apps and core platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) and manage dependencies across finance, tax, procurement, and partner systems.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Improve support/delivery models and performance; simplify/standardize/automate finance processes; modernize platforms (onboard new apps, sunset legacy).
Leadership Profile
- Execution-focused; collaborative influencer; balances strategy and operational excellence; manages ambiguity.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs + 8 years OR Masterβs + 6 years OR Ph.D.
Preferred Qualifications (highlights)
- BlackLine, OneSource Tax, SAP-integrated tools (GLSU, 2Klicks), SAP S/4HANA finance integrations; regulated/life sciences experience; SOX knowledge.
- 8β12+ years supporting finance systems/ERP; leadership across programs/vendors/teams; deep finance-process knowledge (reconciliations, journal entries, tax compliance, royalties, leasing, partner management); application lifecycle management; lead RFPs/vendor selection/contract negotiation.
