Senior Manager – IT Finance
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of finance and boundary applications to ensure stability, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
- Drive end-to-end delivery (enhancements, implementations, system lifecycle management).
- Serve as system owner for key applications, ensuring support, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead vendor coordination (performance management, issue resolution, roadmap alignment).
- Partner with Finance teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Oversee program planning and execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Manage escalations, risks, and dependencies to achieve delivery outcomes.
Finance Solution Leadership
- Provide functional and operational leadership across boundary finance systems and applications.
- Own the BlackLine platform (Account Reconciliations support/enhancements/roadmap, support model transition/optimization, continuous improvement and best practices).
- Guide system capabilities for: 2Klicks, GLSU, Alliant Royalties, OneSource, and Salesforce PRM.
Business Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to define priorities and translate business needs into system enhancements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor; maintain communication on progress, risks, and performance.
Program Delivery & Governance
- Lead initiation, planning, execution, and governance for boundary application initiatives.
- Drive requirements, delivery/release management, and risk/issue management; ensure compliance/audit controls.
- Oversee implementation partner engagement.
Cross-Functional Integration
- Ensure integration between boundary applications and core platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.
- Support data consistency and align with IT/Finance initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Improve support/delivery models and system performance; simplify/standardize/automate finance processes.
- Modernize platforms (onboarding new applications, sunsetting legacy systems).
- Lead RFPs, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation/governance, and implementation partner selection.
Leadership Profile
- Execution-focused; collaborative; able to balance strategy and operational excellence; manage ambiguity.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years’ experience OR Master’s degree + 6 years’ experience OR Ph.D.
Preferred Qualifications (selected)
- BlackLine, OneSource Tax, SAP-integrated tools (GLSU, 2Klicks), SAP S/4HANA finance integrations.
- Life sciences/regulatory experience; SOX knowledge.
- 8–12+ years supporting finance systems/ERP; leadership managing programs/vendors/cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of finance processes (reconciliations, journal entries, tax compliance, royalties, leasing, partner management).
