Role Summary
Senior Manager, Innovation Medical Operations - US is responsible for leading medical operations across the US, aligning medical activities with company strategy, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to advance medical education, compliance, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities

- Operational Excellence – improve operational efficiency and align medical activities with overarching company strategy
- KOL Relationship Management – understand KOL education needs and align KOL selection with company strategy
- Innovation – advance medical innovation and increase use of innovative education materials
- Medical Affairs Planning & Execution – support annual medical plan development and track tactical deliverables; manage timelines, project plans, documentation, and progress reports/dashboards
- Congress / ad board / Symposia Support – coordinate with internal medical teams and M&E for congresses/ad boards/symposia; manage FMVs, abstracts & publications tracking
- External Stakeholder Operations – contract, onboard, and oversee vendors/agencies for medical projects
- Compliance & Governance – ensure processes align to SOPs; manage content review/approvals; manage FMV assessment; track HCP payments, grants, sponsorships, and risk logs
- Budget, Contracting & Vendor Management – support budget planning and forecasting; track PO creation, spending, and vendor invoicing
- Perform other duties assigned
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Medicine. Master’s in Pharmaceutical Management or MBA preferred. 3–8 years in Medical Affairs, Medical Operations, Compliance or related domain. Experience with MLR systems (e.g., Veeva PromoMats, Zinc) preferred. Familiarity with congress operations, medical content workflows, or HCP engagement. Combination of experience and education considered.
- Required: Knowledge of US Innovation Medical Operations Specialist – Pain/WH/Eyecare roles and responsibilities; clinical trials; relevant therapeutic areas; understanding of SOPs; Standards for Interactions with U.S. Healthcare Providers; Federal and State promotional laws and regulations; PhRMA Code; ACCME Standards; Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Required: Strong project management and multitasking ability; understanding of compliance, data privacy, and medical governance; analytical skills to interpret medical insights and trends; excellent verbal and written communication; stakeholder coordination and vendor management; proficiency in Microsoft Office, dashboards; exposure to digital/CRM platforms; accountability and high performance standards; ability to work individually and in a team; openness to change; commitment to DEI.
- Required: Ability to read and interpret complex research documents; ability to work with executives and present to varied audiences.
- Required: Ability to perform calculations (percentages, ratios, rates) and statistical analysis; ability to interpret graphical data; pharmaceutical calculations understanding preferred.
- Required: Problem-solving ability with concrete variables and semi-standardized solutions; ability to follow detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
- Required: Ability to sit at a desk or table; occasional standing/walking; periodic travel; potential for standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing steps; hands/arm use; sedentary lifting.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Medicine (mandatory)
