Senior Human Resources Manager (Strategic HR Business Partner)
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a strategic business partner to assigned client groups; consult on employee relations, performance management, recruiting/workforce planning, career development, and salary planning.
- Support recruiting with sourcing, job fairs, diversity outreach, interviewing, and accurate recordkeeping in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Implement, lead, and facilitate HR initiatives and projects.
- Facilitate training on employee development, coaching, and management topics.
- Assist Benefits Manager with disability and FMLA communications; advise on benefits (eligibility, status changes, COBRA, leaves of absence, open enrollment).
- Manage the annual performance management process.
- Mediate employee concerns; lead/conduct investigations and facilitate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements including Affirmative Action Plan and annual reporting (EEO-1, VETS-4212).
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
- Partner with Immigration Paralegal on work visa filings for employee sponsorships.
- Handle unemployment claims and represent the company at unemployment hearings.
- Work closely with Payroll to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education: BA/BS in Human Resources or related field (Required); MS/MA in Human Resources or related field (Preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years progressive HR experience; 5+ years in manufacturing strongly preferred (pharmaceutical experience a plus).
- Knowledge/Skills: state and federal employment laws; HR best practices; experience administering employee benefits and HR programs.
- Licenses: SPHR preferred.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Base salary: $150,000β$160,000/year; short-term incentive/bonus or performance-based award within first 12 months; comprehensive health/insurance benefits and 401(k) matching.
