Role Summary
The Product Analyst within the Forward Impact Engineering & Impact Team (FIT) at Pfizer Digital is responsible for defining, designing, and creating AI and products to support Pfizer's Finance & Global Business Services (GBS) objectives. This includes examining customer needs with respect to business processes and data, identifying requirements, and ensuring intended value of products is achieved. The role involves translating stakeholder needs into AI and data solutions, partnering with product managers, business and technical teams to design, prototype, and deliver secure, innovative solutions based on strategies and roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- In close partnership with Product Managers and business stakeholders, support discovery, ideation, and backlog readiness to support backlog grooming and prioritization
- Apply Human Centered Design principles to support discovery, ideation, and capturing business value
- Develop user stories and proposals that communicate the business value of data-related efforts
- Evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement of product design and delivery
- Lead exploratory data analysis as part of product discovery and work intake
- Guide solution options analysis with deep functional domain expertise, considering technical and non-technical implications
- Translate product roadmaps into value propositions and impact assessments
- Provide recommendations to senior management to support priority setting
- Lead product design and analysis using human-centered design to develop proofs of concepts, wireframes, data mappings, profiling, and schema design
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure standards, scalability, and security
- Maintain relationships with multidisciplinary teams and deliver content to support communications and stakeholder management
- Deliver executive-level design, requirements, and product roadmap deliverables
- Engage stakeholders to understand downstream value and translate insights to technical teams
- Lead discussions with business stakeholders and translate product design to value
- Contribute to agile frameworks and product documentation processes
- Apply UX and HCD thinking to requirements, development, and delivery
- Understand tools, capabilities, and platform boundaries to design scalable solutions
- Develop proofs of concepts, wireframes, and participate in user acceptance testing and demos
- Coordinate prototype development and create design artifacts
- Develop test artifacts and ensure compliance
- Lead data/analytics-focused analysis on agile teams, including data mappings and schema design
- Assess impact of data, technology, and business logic changes on applications and platforms
- Support baseline and target business architectures modeling data intersections
- Collaborate to connect work across product roadmaps and support knowledge sharing
- Provide UAT support and ensure design/documentation aligns with compliance guardrails
- Foster a culture of creativity, curiosity, inclusion, and excellence
- Deliver portfolio value within the quarter and support forward-looking discovery with AI & Product Manager
- Collaborate on backlog prioritization and continuous improvement of data solutions
- Develop content to support communications and stakeholder management throughout the product lifecycle
- Support value-capture of solutions and coordinate product design decisions with stakeholders
- Engage with data engineers and developers to execute and iterate on design plans
- Capture metrics on developer efficiency and velocity
- Contribute to a data community sharing best practices and industry learnings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field + 6+ years experience, or Master’s degree + 5+ years, or PhD + 1+ years
- Self-starter with ability to work across cross-functional teams and independently drive progress
- Hands-on experience applying HCD principles to product lifecycle activities
- Ability to transform ideas into solutions across multiple workstreams
- Familiarity with logical and conceptual data models
- Proven track record in facilitating decision-making and presenting to leadership
- Experience in product design and data & analytics
- Demonstrated ability to communicate business value of data-related efforts
- Experience leading stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
- Passion for user-centric digital and interactive experiences
- Agile/Lean development knowledge or experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience
- Bachelor's degree (listed above) or equivalent
Education
