Role Summary
Senior Manager, Exhibits & Conventions. The role leads a department responsible for supporting medical and commercial exhibits and conventions, overseeing project management, system configuration, and the close-out process prior to reconciliation. This position partners across functions to ensure alignment, compliance, and successful execution from initial request through program closeout.
Responsibilities
- Manage a department of at least 4 employees and/or contractors supporting medical and commercial exhibits/conventions, including project management, system configuration, support, and close-out prior to reconciliation.
- Lead and develop teams, provide direction to navigate the organization, plan and project manage all assigned exhibits/conventions, and oversee financial, compliance, and reconciliation aspects of each exhibit.
- Lead the creation of annual Business Services Group (BSG) strategic plans and forecasts for the respective capability.
- Manage regular project status calls and relationships with approved exhibit vendors.
- Partner across M&E to align processes and execute from initial request through program closeout.
- Manage cross-functional relationships within the Business Services Group and with Account Services, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Finance, Purchasing, and Third-Party Vendors; maintain knowledge of Global and local requirements for exhibits across all countries.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to define business requirements, create project plans, and coordinate project deployment with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- BachelorβΓΓ΄s degree (or ex-US equivalent) in business economics, science, or hospitality.
- 6+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in exhibits or convention management and/or management of global third-party vendors.
- Demonstrated experience in leading multiple projects.
- Self-directed, collaborative, able to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet commitments.
- Subject Matter Expert with competency in standard business procedures (SOPs, Global Regulations, Ethics and Compliance).
- Strong communication and decision-making skills.
