Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety - Virginia

Role: EHS Site Manager responsible for overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs at Novo Nordisk's Petersburg, VA facility supporting chemical API development and production, focusing on small molecule strategies. Responsibilities: lead site compliance with ISO14001 and ISO18001 standards, develop and implement safety and environmental strategies, monitor performance, manage regulatory permits, and oversee emergency response and waste management. Lead a multidisciplinary EHS team to ensure continuous improvement, adherence to safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 8+ years manufacturing experience (preferably pharma or complex chemical manufacturing); or Associate's with 10+ years or High School diploma with 12+ years experience. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience required. Skills: strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, technical document interpretation, project planning, and communication; certifications like PE, CHMM, CSP, ASP preferred.
