Responsibilities:
- Lead and evolve the enterprise BI ecosystem (Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI).
- Rationalize tool usage, set platform standards, and reduce fragmentation.
- Define scalable patterns for dashboard development, performance optimization, governance, and access control.
- Migrate to a unified, metadata-driven analytics experience.
- Define and execute the AI-enabled analytics roadmap (natural language querying, embedded AI insights/copilots, automated insights, anomaly detection).
- Evaluate/integrate emerging tech (e.g., LLM-based analytics, semantic querying).
- Ensure integration across “thin” BI layer, dbt business transformation, dbt semantic layer, and Unity Catalog metadata layer.
- Partner with enterprise data governance; act as primary interface to business stakeholders.
- Drive adoption, translate business needs into platform solutions, and promote data literacy.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS degree (Computer Science or Bioinformatics preferred).
- 5–8+ years in BI/analytics/data platform roles.
- 3+ years operational management experience.
- Experience with AI/BI or augmented analytics.
- Deep experience with at least 2: Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire.
- Strong experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), SQL and data modeling, and dbt (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with metadata/governance (e.g., Unity Catalog, data lineage).
- Regulated industry experience (biotech/pharma) preferred.
