Role Summary

Senior Manager, Employee Relations position focusing on managing all employee relations issues for Teva within the Employee Relations COE for the United States. Responsible for employee relations investigations and processes, tracking cases to identify trends, and coaching managers and HR colleagues on employee relations matters, including leaves of absence and accommodation requests.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a consultant to management on employee coaching & counseling, progressive discipline, investigations and exits related to performance, code of conduct & policy violations
  • Acts as a liaison between management and specialist areas for workers’ compensation, leaves of absence accommodation requests and fleet violations; gathers information to support decision making in compliance with company policies and local regulations
  • Partners with HR Operations & Services and other COEs to interpret HR policies and processes related to employee relations
  • Works with Corporate Compliance to ensure employment actions are aligned with compliance policies and processes
  • Provides objective, professional coaching and counseling on sensitive issues to employees and management
  • May advise on other HR processes such as promotions, compensation adjustments, transfers, terminations, recruitment and staffing
  • May support other HR projects, priorities and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience with emphasis on employee relations in a business-facing role
  • Knowledge of US employment law is required
  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare with large field-based organization experience is ideal
  • Experience in processes for employee counseling, investigations, separations; experience managing leaves of absence is a plus
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, ability to guide others through action or influence
  • Ability to understand issues impacting the business unit and company
  • Experience in COE-based Human Resources model and navigating a matrixed environment
  • Strong project management, change management, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience coaching managers on employee relations and mitigating risk in US employment law
