Position Summary:
- The ideal candidate is an experienced data security and Data Loss Protection (DLP) professional with expertise in investigations and incident response related to operations in Mainland China.
- Role requires bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, strong cultural fluency, and solid knowledge of Chinaโ€™s regulatory and technological environment.
- U.S.-based, hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with international teams; assist DLP engineering teams in India and Switzerland to develop and implement DLP policies tailored to the China market.
- Triage alerts, conduct investigations, and escalate appropriately.
- Lead periodic risk assessments and develop mitigation action plans.
- Review and update response plans for investigating/escalating non-compliance events against BMS DLP policies.
- Develop and maintain China-market data protection performance metrics.
- Monitor industry trends/advancements in data security and DLP; recommend improvements to existing systems.

China Specific Focus:
- Mandatory fluency in Mandarin Chinese (and other local writing systems) and English.
- Deep understanding of local business culture and experience with China-based stakeholders.
- Knowledge of collaboration technologies used in China.
- Knowledge of China laws, regulations, standards, and trade barriers affecting data protection/security.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years in data security and DLP; strong cyber security, risk management, and compliance background.
- Proven DLP-related incident response investigation experience.
- Familiarity with DLP technologies (encryption, access controls, ticketing) and SIEM systems.
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
