Senior Manager, Cost Accounting

Role: Senior Manager, Cost Accounting at Halozyme, overseeing inventory valuation, manufacturing costs, and COGS accounting to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP. Responsibilities: lead inventory and cost accounting processes, maintain and improve costing methodologies, analyze variances, perform month-end closing, support financial reporting, and collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and FP&A teams. Drive process automation and system enhancements, support audits and internal controls, and advise on product costing for new developments. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA; 12+ years of progressive finance and technical accounting experience, including 8+ years in cost accounting within life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors; ERP proficiency (preferably NetSuite); strong analytical skills and experience with supply chain and third-party manufacturing.
