Position Responsibilities:
- Lead drafting and negotiations of biotech contracts for a company launching its first product, focused on Development, Research, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, and G&A.
- Draft and negotiate biotechnology-related agreements, including master service agreements, material transfer agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, research agreements, clinical trial site agreements, and related statements of work.
- Support and maintain the contracts management system and contracting processes, including company-wide training as needed.
- Provide legal contracts support across the organization by identifying complex legal/compliance issues and integrating legal risk management with business objectives.
- Work in a fast-paced environment; prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships across the company; contribute to cross-functional projects.
- Maintain a positive team culture.
- Manage additional projects as needed, including general corporate matters.
Candidate Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience drafting and negotiating biotechnology-related agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, research agreements, clinical trial-related agreements, manufacturing/supply chain agreements, and commercial life sciences contracts.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, organization, and time management.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative engagement skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; provide concise, timely advice to business partners.
- Familiarity with contracts management systems such as Ironclad and DocuSign eSignature (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (required).
- Prior in-house legal team experience at a biotechnology company (preferred).
Compensation:
- $155,000 - $205,000 a year
