Senior Manager, Congress Operations (Logistics & OL Engagement Scheduling)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate integrated Logistics & OL Engagement Scheduling model across global congresses; ensure governance, standardized workflows, and compliance-first execution.
- Align congress execution to brand objectives; execute long-range capability roadmap; provide execution insights and recommendations.
- Provide executive oversight for Tier 1 congresses and selected Tier 2 programs; integrate logistics (housing, sourcing, contracting, onsite management) with OL scheduling; oversee timelines/readiness and serve as primary escalation for high-impact issues.
- Lead and develop team; set priorities, allocate resources, coach performance, and ensure onboarding/training for consistent, compliant regional execution.
- Own global budgets; manage budgeting/forecasting/reconciliation; lead vendor strategy (contract negotiation, SLA governance, cost optimization); partner with Finance/Procurement.
- Govern OL scheduling standards (rooms/flow strategy), documentation and data integrity; monitor OL metrics/utilization and ensure alignment.
- Ensure SOP/policy/regulatory adherence, audit readiness, risk identification/mitigation, inspection readiness, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee congress performance analytics; build executive dashboards and provide quarterly insights.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 2 years congress management OR Master’s + 4 OR Bachelor’s + 6 OR Associate’s + 10 OR HS/GED + 12.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8–12 years pharma/biotech congress operations; leadership of global/multi-region portfolios; Commercial + Medical support; compliance knowledge; advanced financial/ROI and forecasting; scalable operating model + continuous improvement; executive communication; proficiency with SAP, Workday, Cvent, CRM, analytics.
