What You Will Achieve
Governance & decision-making
- Own quality control across all incoming use cases (completeness, accuracy, decision-readiness).
- Own Tier 3 (Exploration) use cases end to end (intake β†’ evaluation β†’ disposition), routing only the subset needing Council review.
- Secure senior leader alignment before Council review for Council-bound cases (selected Tier 3 and all Tier 2).
- Elevate Tier 2 (Incubation) use cases to the Senior Director with recommendations/routing.
- Help evolve governance standards, tier definitions, and evaluation criteria.
- Develop communication standards (submitter status updates; Council recommendation format).
- Support legal/compliance discussions as needed.

Council leadership
- Lead biweekly Council operations end to end (agenda; decision-ready content).
- Partner with Senior Director/Council members to ensure the right cases reach the table with defensible recommendations.
- Onboard/integrate new functional areas into the governance framework.

Pipeline & portfolio ownership
- Own AIR pipeline health (throughput, cycle time, quality across 20+ Tier 3 submissions/month).
- Track/report pipeline status and decision velocity; surface risks/bottlenecks with recommended actions.

Standards, tools & continuous improvement
- Own the Commercial AI Council Playbook, AIR decision tree, and governance documentation (system of record).
- Partner with Digital to maintain/enhance AIR.
- Implement scalable process improvements without compromising rigor.

Minimum Requirements
- BS + 6+ years; OR MS + 5+ years; OR PhD + 1+ years.
- Experience in governance/program/portfolio management or operations in pharma/life sciences with end-to-end ownership.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional senior leadership forums and converting input into decisions.
- Sound, independent judgment to make/defend governance decisions.
- Change-agile; adaptable as remit grows.

Preferred Requirements
- AI/digital transformation and commercial operations familiarity.
- Strong organization for high-volume pipelines.
- Detail-oriented with strong QC/documentation.

Work Location: Hybrid
Compensation & Benefits (explicitly stated)
- Base salary: $124,400–$207,400.
- Bonus target: 17.5% (Global Performance Plan); eligible for share-based long-term incentive.
