Role Summary

Senior Manager, Business Excellence at Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Host, lead and/or support the Strategic Business Cycle and Performance Review Activities while deploying SC strategy. Facilitate G&O's creation and quarterly review at different levels and cross functionally.
  • Lead the Supply Chain E2E Performance Management Reporting governance (SC scorecard and strategic project).
  • Lead governance for Manufacturing performance management driving key decisions and improvement projects. Develop and/or improve tools for reporting and tracking.
  • Works with other departments such as source, operations, deliver, finance, engineering, and quality to ensure alignment, planning and realization of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for leading, developing and implementing lean tools for process improvements.
  • Work with plant leaders and functional leaders in identifying business opportunities to improve process quality, delivery and cost performance.
  • In collaboration with finance and operation, develop a process to measure and analyze cost actions in a monthly basis, and review with manufacturing leadership staff.
  • Support Functional projects impact calculations, reporting, and tracking.
  • Drive E2E Capacity Assessment short and long term to deliver BP and LRFP commitments respectively.
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma Trainings and Certifications Program
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformational results through end-to-end value streams.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

Education

  • A bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree is required, in Industrial Engineering preferred. Advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA) an asset.

Experience And Skills

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience working in or with a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Business / Process excellence environment
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment (i.e. FDA, ISO, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools and Methodology.
  • Experience as a practitioner of LEAN or DMAIIC/DMADV methodology.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong decision making, problem solving skills, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • The ability to collaborate with all levels of management in a matrix environment
  • Great communication skills at different levels of the organization, the ability to deliver results through others

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and executing change management plans
  • Direct experience in medical device industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), process characterization, ANOVA, Design of Experiments (DOEs) and hypothesis testing preferred.
  • Experience with process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (pFMEAs) and/or design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (dFMEAs)
  • Experience and knowledge of Project Management tools and processes
  • Process Excellence/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or Master Black Belt Certification are preferred.
  • Training of LEAN or DMAIIC/DMADV experience is an asset
  • Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations or focused professional certification (e.g. APICS, ISM, Six Sigma, PMP, FPX, etc.)
