- Design modular components for reasoning, retrieval, tool integration (including MCP), and workflow automation.
- Partner with the Agentic UI team to deliver end-to-end products.
- Own and optimize retrieval stack (vector/hybrid search, embeddings, chunking, reranking).
- Build evaluation/regression safeguards for LLM outputs (citation faithfulness, groundedness).
- Design and deploy ML on real-world evidence (claims, EHR, registry), HEOR, and field-medical data to surface Medical Affairs insights.
- Apply embeddings, predictive models, and statistical methods where appropriate.
- Automate and scale data ingestion pipelines into AI/ML-ready data (e.g., Databricks).
- Own deployment, monitoring, and observability (e.g., LangSmith) for shipped systems.
- Translate complex AI concepts for technical and non-technical Medical Affairs partners.
- Align AI initiatives with governance, privacy, PHI, and compliance expectations.

- 7+ years applied ML/data science; 3+ years shipping ML/AI to production.
- 1+ year hands-on agentic AI (e.g., LangGraph, deepagents, LangSmith).
- Strong RAG/retrieval engineering; ability to evaluate groundedness and citation accuracy.
- Applied ML on real-world/patient data (claims/EHR/registry), including feature engineering.
- Experience with production reliability, data access/authentication, and handling PHI.
- Strong communication; cross-functional collaboration.
