Senior Maintenance Technician – Utilities (Night Shift)
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance supporting start-up of plant utilities and daily operations.
- Perform intermediate installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation/logs for process and utility equipment.
- Conduct operations, maintenance, and repair for utilities systems serving Manufacturing and Lab areas across the ANC site.
- Work with steam, chilled water, compressed air, cooling tower water, heating hot water; plus clean steam, WFI, process cooling water, process air, process gases, process waste, HVAC, walk-in cold rooms/freezers, and environmental control units.
- Perform maintenance activities including inspections, testing, minor/major overhauls, pump rebuild/replacements, valve rebuild/replacements, HVAC troubleshooting/repair, and piping modification/repair.
- Partner with maintenance service providers and equipment vendors.
- Complete quality and safety documentation and execute work safely and compliantly per GMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies.
- Maintain accurate work order documentation; review maintenance reports/forms/plans/records.
- Identify waste/work-flow interrupters and propose solutions.
- Participate in skill development; represent the Utilities Maintenance team in meetings.
- Provide facility/manufacturing support as needed via on-call rotation (nights, weekends, holidays).
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years Utility Operations or Maintenance experience OR Associate’s Degree and 6 months Utility Operations or Maintenance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years utility operations and mechanical maintenance (plant utility equipment/systems like chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors).
- 3+ years pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge/experience in cGMP or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience executing/documenting maintenance work orders in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs.
- Ability to work with minimum direction; communicate issues/status; interact constructively.
