Senior Maintenance Technician β Utilities β Day Shift
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
- Provide technical expertise and guidance supporting startup of plant utilities and daily operations (rotating day shift: 2-2-3 schedule, 7am to 7pm).
- Perform intermediate installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation/logs of process and utility equipment.
- Perform operations, maintenance, and repair on utility equipment and systems serving Manufacturing, Lab, and other operations across the ANC site.
- Systems include: steam, chilled water, compressed air, cooling tower water, and heating hot water.
- Manufacturing/Lab utility systems include: clean steam, WFI, process cooling water, process air, process gases, process waste, HVAC systems, walk-in cold rooms/freezers, and other environmental control units.
- Conduct inspections, testing, minor/major overhauls, pump rebuild/replacements, valve rebuild/replacements, HVAC troubleshooting/repair, piping modification/repair.
- Partner with maintenance service providers and equipment vendors.
- Complete quality and safety documentation and perform work safely and compliantly (GMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies) with minimal production impact.
- Communicate work to system operators and stakeholders; complete work order documentation; review maintenance reports/forms/plans/records.
- Identify waste/work-flow interrupters, recommend and assist with improvements.
- Participate in development to improve team performance; represent Utilities Maintenance in meetings.
- Provide facility/manufacturing support as needed with on-call rotation (nights/weekends/holidays).
What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
- Basic: High School Diploma/GED and 2 years utility operations or maintenance OR Associateβs Degree and 6 months utility operations or maintenance.
- Preferred: 5+ years utility operations and mechanical maintenance (chillers/boilers/cooling towers/air compressors, etc.); 3+ years pneumatic/mechanical/hydraulic systems; cGMP/highly regulated environment experience; CMMS maintenance work order execution/documentation; ability to interpret P&IDs; ability to work with minimum direction; timely communication of issues/status; constructive teamwork.
