Senior Maintenance Technician

Role Summary

Senior Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of complex utility systems within a GMP manufacturing facility. Responsible for interpreting drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications to troubleshoot and repair, and for training junior technicians and supporting new equipment and plant system installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document all corrective and preventative maintenance activities on GMP facility equipment and/or systems in accordance with GDP requirements
• Respond to emergency service calls and resolve identified issues in a timely manner and in accordance with safety, quality and compliance requirements
• Assist in the design, installation, and qualification of new facility equipment and systems as applicable to your level of expertise
• Participate in cross functional teams to perform investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA creation or improvement opportunities as needed
• Engage in and contribute to the organization‚Äôs Reliability program as a subject matter expert
• Obtain and maintain gown certification for clean room entry
• Perform weekend walkthrough duties according to schedule
• Participate in an On-Call rotation for off hour facility emergencies
• Ensure that all required quality and safety training is completed on time and current

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working in a cGMP environment or equivalent experience
• Experience working independently with little to no supervision
• Desired: Experience working for a maintenance organization in CGMP
• Desired: Biotech/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• Licensure in Wastewater Treatment, Refrigeration/Air Conditioning or Electrician (preferred)
• Ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time to achieve goals and objectives
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with CMMS system for tracking maintenance work orders

• Technical proficiency across multiple skill areas and ability to interpret complex information
• Troubleshooting and repair of GMP facility equipment and process systems
• Training and mentorship of junior technicians
