Responsibilities:
- Supervise a maintenance group of 15 employees, including performance evaluation, talent acquisition, succession planning, training/talent development, and performance management.
- Improve workforce productivity, safety/quality enhancements, and achieve Maintenance Excellence KPIs in the Manufacturing and Packaging facility.
- Identify, communicate, and eliminate potential delays, obstacles, and schedule conflicts.
- Serve as primary liaison for cross-functional partners and point person for maintenance items on the shop floor.
- Collect, compile, organize, and report maintenance-related KPIs.
- Provide project management for maintenance continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, cGMP, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain accurate CMMS files and necessary records for control reports.
- Initiate/implement changes to physical and written procedures, including job plans.
- Ensure assigned areas receive prompt, efficient, quality maintenance service.
- Communicate events/issues to appropriate individuals; meet requesting-department deadlines and maintain preventative maintenance schedule.
- Make decisions on priority levels, scheduling strategies, cost-saving programs, and analyze vendor performance; notify customers promptly if work canβt be scheduled in time.
- Make tactical decisions on response time based on priority.
- Deliver cost savings and support the site maintenance budget; meet site maintenance KPIs.
- Meet routinely with operations and other functions to monitor performance and maintain service levels via coordination and scheduling of maintenance/calibration.
- Interface with Engineering Services, the Operations Manager, and other supervisors on evaluation and implementation/management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science with 2+ years relevant experience, or Technical degree with 5+ years in Mechanical/Electromechanical/Electrical & Instrumentation, Maintenance Repair Operation (MRO), or Reliability Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years experience in cGMP and Good Documentation.
- Familiarity with P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, and one-line schematics.
- Strong technical knowledge; ability to analyze complex problems and make judgments within defined procedures.
- Ability to work with diverse engineering groups; communicate effectively orally/in writing/presentations.
- Interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical background in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics, or similar industries (preferred).
- Competency with financial systems and fiscal control.
