Senior Legal Counsel, Innovative Medicine Supply Chain

Responsibilities:
- Manage, draft, and negotiate Innovative Medicine Supply Chain legal contracts.
- Draft and negotiate supply chain agreements for procurement of Drug Delivery Devices, API (active pharmaceutical ingredients), and packaging for large/small molecule and advanced therapies with 3rd-party suppliers.
- Draft or supervise drafting of complex R&D agreements for clinical supply programs (Master Service Agreements, Research Collaboration Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, and related research contracts, templates, and supporting documents).
- Support IM SC Legal team priorities and take responsibility for team objectives/program execution.
- Manage external counsel support and budget (where relevant).
- Identify and adopt best practices and process improvement initiatives to streamline contracting (improving timeliness, accuracy, and quality).

Qualifications:
- Minimum Juris Doctorate (or equivalent) required.
- Licensed attorney with bar admission in at least one US state or DC (or law degree with at least one bar admission in Europe); additional degrees/LLM are an asset.
- Minimum 7 years legal experience; in-house life-sciences counsel or life-sciences law firm experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laws/regulations/industry standards for life-sciences R&D and IP.
- Thorough contract law knowledge with strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong business/analytical skills, legal risk assessment, and ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Interest in strategic/process improvement and use of technology/AI.
- Fluency in English; ability to draft contract terms in English.
