Position Summary
- Drive demand for BMS medicines for appropriate patients by delivering differentiated Customer Experience through deeper scientific dialogue and consistent on-label discussions.
- Build and maintain credibility with regional thought leaders, community and hospital-based HCPs, medical groups, office staff, and other stakeholders.
- Field-based role (100% in the field) engaging customers at Community Mental Health Centers, Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers, and Hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory/region to meet or exceed sales targets compliantly.
- Articulate balanced clinical/scientific rationale; maintain/grow scientific expertise.
- Develop and execute territory/account plans; use tools to generate insights and inform call plans.
- Within hospitals, build relationships to encourage formulary access and product availability; understand access/affordability, reimbursement, payer/formulary, treatment pathways, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Present approved scientific resources/publications; ensure medical accuracy.
- Conduct in-office presentations; organize external speaker programs; stay current on emerging approved data.
- Use Medical on Call for real-time responses to unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams; share insights internally; work with matrix teams to implement compliant promotional programs and hospital initiatives; comply with laws/regulations/policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharma/biotech experience as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to accurately communicate clinical/scientific data.
- Demonstrated credibility with community/hospital customers and patient-care stakeholders; customer-centric mindset.
Preferred
- Psychiatry experience; experience with community mental health centers/behavioral health centers/hospitals.
- Experience engaging P&T committees and knowledge of formulary/reimbursement.
Benefits/Compensation
