Responsibilities:
- Partner with business development groups across research-sharing, acquisitions, and site divestitures.
- Support cross-company communication integration; migrate users to AbbVie-managed devices; transition applications and decommission legacy environments.
- Liaise between Identity and technical/business stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and implement secure identity designs.
- Provide advisory services to reduce risk and technical friction.
- Lead technical onboarding and identity integration for newly acquired entities.
- Design and implement identity federation and trust models across multiple domains/forests.
- Drive migration of users, devices, and applications to standardized platforms.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts/workflows for identity provisioning/deprovisioning during M&A.
- Maintain documentation and improve M&A identity playbooks/standards.
- Serve as an identity architecture SME during due diligence and post-merger integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs (6 yrs) / Masterโs (5 yrs) / PhD (0 yrs) in an information security role; ideally Security Engineer.
- Experience with M&A, divestitures, or multi-company collaborations.
- Familiarity with security tools/platforms (self-hosted and cloud).
- Cloud Identity Provider experience (e.g., Entra, Okta, PingOne) supporting SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0.
- Working knowledge of AWS/GCP/Azure and collaboration tools (M365/GSuite/Slack) and related integrations.
- Proficiency in Active Directory (domains, forests, trusts).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SANS, AWS).
- Ability to lead integration strategies and influence peers.
- Knowledge of identity/access governance (least privilege, access lifecycle, enterprise security policy).
- Excellent communication and collaboration.
Preferred:
- 5+ years in identity/security engineering; security architecture experience.
- Identity-focused certifications (e.g., MS Certified: Identity & Access Administrator, Okta/Ping certifications).
- Familiarity with NIST 800 and ISO 27001.
