Position: Principal Agentic Workflow & AI Engineer (Biologics Discovery data engine). Located Spring House, PA (preferred), Titusville, NJ, or Raritan, NJ (no remote).
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and continuously improve agentic workflows that automate secondary analysis for biologics discovery assays.
- Build/oversee real-time pipelines connecting automation software, data stores, models, and compute.
- Implement resilient APIs, observability, versioning, and end-to-end workflow orchestration; partner with Enterprise GenAI, ontology, and MLOps teams for semantically consistent, production-deployable outputs.
- Create closed-loop (DMTL) workflows that optimize for AI-driven learning; collaborate with scientists/data engineers so outputs improve downstream property models and decisions.
- Set technical direction/standards and mentor engineers and data scientists; evaluate/pilot emerging agentic AI methods; represent work in cross-functional technical forums.
Required qualifications/skills:
- Ph.D. preferred (CS/Engineering or related).
- 3+ years building scientific workflow orchestration/automation with agentic workflows and technical leadership.
- Hands-on real-time/near-real-time data pipelines; integrate complex heterogeneous scientific/instrument data.
- Experience applying agentic AI/LLM-based agents to scientific/lab workflows.
- Experience using enterprise/shared GenAI platforms and retrieval-augmented approaches (e.g., RAG/GraphRAG).
- Translate scientific objectives into scalable technical solutions; strong communication in ambiguity.
Preferred:
- Drug discovery (biologics, high-throughput, imaging).
- Lab automation/robotics/cyber-physical systems exposure.
- MLOps/DevOps, workflow engines, production monitoring/observability.
- FAIR/ontologies/semantic models/lineage/provenance and AI-ready data standards.
Comp/Benefits (U.S.): Base pay $117,000–$201,250; annual performance bonus. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accident, group legal; 401(k)/pension; vacation (up to 120 hrs/yr), sick (up to 40 hrs/yr), holiday/Floating Holidays (up to 13 days).
