Key Responsibilities
- Develop trusted relationships with Animal Health senior leadership and the Architecture Leadership Team; connect divisional priorities to enterprise capabilities, platforms, standards, investments, and future technology direction.
- Advise on enterprise opportunities, dependencies, risks, tradeoffs, and cross-divisional implications (including synergies and shared investments with Human Health).
- Engage early to understand material outcomes and future demand across the Animal Health value stream (R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial/sales & marketing), including connected devices and digital services.
- Drive AI acceleration by identifying high-value use cases (e.g., drug development, manufacturing optimization, predictive supply chain, precision livestock management, connected companion animal products) and prioritizing by business impact.
- Own quality and traceability of enterprise architecture decisions; ensure decisions and rationale are visible and reusable.
- Translate recurring decisions into standards, patterns, reference architectures, and self-service guidance (including responsible AI guardrails and connected-product patterns).
- Lead Enterprise Architecture engagement for Animal Health; set priorities, accountability, and measurable outcomes; develop and coach EA talent.

Required Skills / Qualifications
- Deep Animal Health domain knowledge across end-to-end value stream (discovery/clinical development through manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial sales) including pharmaceutical and physical product/connected device portfolios.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations (USDA, FDA CVM, EPA, GxP) and emerging expectations around data/AI.
- Strong AI & advanced analytics acumen; ability to frame AI initiatives as business problems measured by business outcomes; commitment to responsible AI (fairness, transparency, regulatory compliance).
- Strategic & enterprise thinking; proven ability to develop technology strategies and drive adoption in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Excellent executive communication and evidence-based decision-making.
- Modern technology fluency (Cloud, SaaS, AI/ML, IoT, data platforms, integration patterns) and vendor/tech evaluation with TCO and risk awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Information Security or related field.
- 15+ years in technology strategy/enterprise architecture/digital transformation or related leadership roles (ideally with Animal Health, Agriculture, Life Sciences, or end-to-end pharmaceutical exposure).
