Position Summary
- Senior HVAC Technician ensuring functionality and regulatory compliance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for scientific/healthcare environments (install, inspect, repair; optimize environmental conditions). Develop programs, budgets, and project plans for new construction/relocation/expansions across multiple sites (Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ) and maintain existing building HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
- Monitor HVAC operations; perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
- Respond to hot/cold calls and resolve issues.
- Manage/oversee vendors.
- Inspect/repair/replace HVAC components (valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers).
- Follow safety procedures; apply OSHA and local safety requirements.
- Document work in CMMS.
- Participate in safety meetings/training/hazard assessments.
- Estimate time and material costs.
- Verify/implement preventive maintenance standards.
- Operate/maintain building automation system.
- Work flexible schedule; perform other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 5 years related experience.
- EPA CFC Universal Certificate.
- Building Management System (BMS) operation and controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business Internet use.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in highly regulated environments.
- HVAC in critical environments (e.g., clean rooms) and/or life sciences.
- Building facility maintenance experience.
