Senior Financial Analyst - Manufacturing (San Diego / Hybrid)

Role: Senior Financial Analyst – Manufacturing, focusing on financial planning, analysis, and reporting for component consumables and technical operations within Illumina's manufacturing division. Responsibilities include leading quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, variance analysis, and providing executive insights on manufacturing costs, margins, and operational trends. The role involves partnering with manufacturing, operations finance, and corporate leadership to support decision-making, cost management, and compliance with US GAAP and internal controls. It also includes driving process improvements, KPI reporting, and supporting standard cost setting and inventory processes. Requirements: minimum 5 years in operations finance or cost accounting; bachelor’s in Business, Finance, or related field; strong hands-on SAP experience; proficiency in Excel; experience with manufacturing variances and cross-functional influence. Preferred: familiarity with Cognos TM1; proven ability to interface with manufacturing teams to improve profitability.
