Patient Advocacy
Onsite: Lexington, MA office; required onsite five days per week.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage Medical Affairs Operations processes/standards for internal and field teams and projects; deliver on time and within approved budget.
- Shape and implement a global patient advocacy/engagement strategy; oversee external patient advocacy efforts and company-wide patient engagement/education/volunteer programs.
- Lead cross-functional scientific congress strategic planning (objectives, materials, medical booth); oversee Medical Information (compliant, unbiased medical information; quality/service standards).
- Develop Medical & Patient Engagement reports/presentations; provide Medical Affairs scientific training for HCP exchange.
- Drive process improvements; act as therapeutic area resource; keep abreast of professional information/technology.
- Oversee Medical Affairs budget (quarterly forecasting/planning).
- Manage/train/mentor Medical Information/Patient Advocacy direct reports.
- Oversee medical information request handling and initial intake of spontaneous AEs/product complaints; develop/maintain SOPs ensuring ICH/GCP compliance.
- Oversee Managed Access request evaluation/management.
- Conduct landscape assessment of rare cardiovascular disease advocacy (US/Europe); build compliant advocacy relationships and internal cross-functional partnerships.
- Manage patient advisory boards/meetings; align advocacy activity timing/level to development pipeline; communicate patient learnings across functions.
Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills
- 10+ years industry experience (medical operations focus); 5+ years leadership.
- PhD/MD/PharmD or advanced degree (MS/MPH/MBA).
- Strong project management, communication, conflict/time/problem-solving; analytical skills; clinical data interpretation.
- Proficient Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/CoPilot/Outlook; independent, fast-paced multitasking; compliance/ethics commitment.
- Experience with AI preferred; some travel may be required.
Pay Range: $270,000–$310,000 USD.
