Senior Engineer - Automation Engineering (Eli Lilly, Foundry)

Responsibilities
- Lead integration from analytical systems into DeltaV/Rockwell, including recipe setup and maintenance for Foundry Lab/Admin PLC-controlled systems.
- Serve as technical point of contact during phased lab onboarding; support deployment and configuration.
- Mentor engineer-level staff supporting PLC systems.
- Support deployment and initial configuration of PLC-based equipment (DeltaV, Rockwell, third-party PLC, custom SCADA); validate against site standards.
- Own post go-live analytical-to-DeltaV/Rockwell integration and recipe setup/maintenance.
- Manage change control, versioning, and backup/restore for analytical integration and recipes.
- Coordinate data integration touchpoints where PLC equipment feeds PI, DCS, or other repositories.
- Maintain validated state of integration/recipes per Lilly quality standards with documentation and change management.
- Provide status updates to Automation Engineering leadership.

Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. in Engineering or relevant scientific discipline; 3+ years automation engineering experience (preferably pharma manufacturing).
- Experience supporting/deploying PLC/SCADA control systems (Rockwell, DeltaV, or equivalent).

Preferred
- Recipe management/configuration on Rockwell or DeltaV-controlled equipment.
- Experience in phased/greenfield commissioning.
- Experience integrating PLC data to PI, DCS, or other repositories.
