Role Summary

Senior Duchenne Area Manager (DAM) for the Southcoast region. This role promotes the safe and effective use of Sarepta Therapies to medical providers within an assigned US territory. The DAM is an individual contributor who works within a fast-paced, collaborative environment to meet enrollment form goals and improve patient outcomes, traveling within the designated geography as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes safe and effective use of Sarepta therapies in accordance with the product label and company training and policies
  • Drive demand for enrollment form attainment with the four currently approved products within a defined geography
  • Build strong referral networks outside sites of care by educating and selling marketed products to identify new patients and patients diagnosed or lost to follow up
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key HCPs across multiple medical subspecialties, primarily in neurology/neuromuscular
  • Conduct weekly in-person meetings with referring and treating physicians and collaborate with matrix team resources as needed
  • Execute a consistent consultative selling model and develop strategic account plans with defined objectives
  • Identify naïve DMD patients by educating HCPs to ensure timely diagnosis and access to care
  • Lead HCP education on genetic testing, antibody assay access, and pull-through
  • Engage with priority leads and stay current on the DMD environment, including drivers, referral patterns, and reimbursement
  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation to meet customer needs and address gaps in DMD understanding and care
  • Adhere to regulatory and compliance guidelines and collaborate across functional areas
  • Contribute to team initiatives and manage projects as requested by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7+ years of field experience in biotech, preferably in orphan diseases
  • Neuromuscular, Pediatric Neurology, or related specialty experience preferred
  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory environments, especially in orphan or rare diseases
  • Excellent consultative selling skills with a proven track record
  • Passion for improving DMD patient care and patient-centered approach
  • Willingness to adopt new technologies and continuous learning
  • Product launch experience highly desired
  • Track record of consistently exceeding sales goals
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Veeva/Salesforce
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and good standing
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
