Role Summary

Senior Duchenne Area Manager- Southcoast. A performance-driven individual contributor promoting the safe and effective use of Sarepta Therapies to medical providers within a defined US territory, focused on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and related programs. Requires travel within the assigned geography and on-site/hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes safe and effective use of Sarepta therapies in accordance with the product label and company training and policies
  • Drive demand for enrollment form attainment with Amondys 45, Exondys 51, Vyondys 53, Elevidys, and other launch products within a defined geography
  • Build strong referral networks outside sites of care by educating and selling marketed products to identify new patients or patients diagnosed and lost to follow up
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key HCPs in Sites of Care by educating and selling marketed products across multiple medical subspecialties, primarily in neurology/neuromuscular
  • Conduct weekly in-person meetings with referring and treating physicians and collaborate with matrix team resources as needed
  • Execute a consistent consultative selling model to achieve optimum results and be recognized as a leader in clinical selling skills
  • Develop strategic account plans with clearly defined sales and executional objectives to ensure comprehensive coverage of assigned geography
  • Identify naïve DMD patients by educating HCPs to ensure timely diagnosis and access to care where appropriate
  • Lead HCP education on genetic testing, access, and amenability
  • Lead HCP education on the antibody assay, access, and pull-through
  • Engage priority leads based on current business strategy
  • Stay current on the DMD environment, including disease knowledge, local drivers, treatment and referral patterns, key account profiles, reimbursement, and barriers to optimal care
  • Allocate resources to meet customer needs and address gaps in DMD understanding and care
  • Exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies
  • Collaborate across functional areas to achieve goals and address issues
  • Challenge convention and contribute ideas on best practices within the DAM team
  • Take responsibility for projects and other duties as requested by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7+ years of field experience in biotech, preferably in orphan diseases
  • Neuromuscular, Pediatric Neurology or other specialty experience preferred
  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory/enforcement environments, specifically in orphan/rare disease
  • Excellent consultative selling skills with proven performance
  • Passion for improving DMD patient care and keeping patients at the center of efforts
  • Openness to new technologies and continuous learning
  • Product launch experience highly desired
  • Track record of exceeding sales goals
  • Advanced use of MS Office Suite and Veeva/Salesforce
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and in good standing
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
