Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute regional/district sales strategy to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives.
- Develop, enhance, and increase regional sales performance within the Philadelphia district (PA, VA, MD, WV, Washington, DC).
- Build and maintain relationships with key executives and decision-makers; conduct account reviews as required; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide timely feedback to sales representatives; identify performance gaps early and create plans to address them; work with sales leadership and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team and territory sales performance; track/reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical execution, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit, retain, coach, and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development; ensure accountability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company policies/procedures; promptly report any observed violations to management; uphold ethical/professional standards.
- Maintain open communication, share best practices across the region, and serve as liaison with home office/region to identify and resolve issues.
- Apply change management tools to manage change impact for successful implementation.
- Create a high-performance team environment focused on immediate results and long-term strategy.
- Exercise fiscal control over allocated operating budgets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 8+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Must live in the applicable geographic district.
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Preferred: prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare Sales Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare product sales experience.
- Ability to travel 60β70% (including overnight).
- Valid Driverβs License with acceptable driving record.
- Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $164,000 - $246,000 (exact compensation varies by skills/experience/location).
