Role: Senior Director, US Employment Law, providing strategic legal counsel on labor and employment matters in the U.S., supporting HR, leadership, and compliance teams. Responsibilities: advise on all employment lifecycle aspects, including recruiting, compensation, leaves, performance management, terminations, and executive agreements; manage employee relations, investigations, and contentious proceedings; develop policies, templates, and training; support organizational restructuring, mergers, and cross-border employment issues; oversee outside counsel and ensure legal compliance across jurisdictions; and collaborate with global legal teams. Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school, active U.S. state bar membership, 12+ years of progressive employment law experience, preferably in biotech or life sciences; deep knowledge of federal and state employment laws; experience managing sensitive employee disputes, internal investigations, and legal defenses; strong advisory, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
