Senior Director - U.S. Ethics & Compliance Advisor (HIV)
Responsibilities:
- Act as key point of ethics and compliance support for relevant Gilead HIV Prevention and Treatment Commercial therapeutic areas.
- Partner with Legal, Commercial, Medical, and Clinical Development to build and integrate the compliance program into US HIV therapeutic areas.
- Apply knowledge/experience in practices related to interactions among commercial, medical affairs, and market access.
- Build relationships with stakeholders as a trusted advisor; foster a collaborative environment.
- Use a problem-solving mindset; respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries and concerns.
- Provide timely feedback; communicate requirements, rationale, and regular updates on relevant changes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes to improve efficiency and reduce bureaucracy.
- Advise and support operationalization of compliance processes and execution within legal/compliance requirements.
- Develop and deliver ethics/compliance trainings and educational sessions.
- Identify healthcare compliance risks and develop mitigation controls.
- Partner with Privacy and Data Ethics on data privacy, information security, cyber laws, and industry codes.
- Support compliance incident response; facilitate policy, training, communications, monitoring, risk assessments, due diligence, and transparency needs.
- Stay current on ethics/compliance developments and industry trends.
- Lead, inspire, and develop the team (mentorship, guidance, professional development).
Basic Qualifications:
- 14+ years’ experience with a BA/BS, or 12+ years with an MS/MA or MBA, or PhD.
- Extensive in-house experience in biotech/pharma or other highly regulated industries, or law firm advising for these industries (ideally majority in-house).
- Management experience; ability to mentor and supervise.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated): Salary range $226,185.00–$292,710.00; may include discretionary annual bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
