Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long- and short-term trade, channel, and distribution strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing Trade and Distribution team; ensure resource readiness and execution across workstreams.
- Provide active account management for specialty pharmacies, wholesalers/distributors, and other key trade partners.
- Establish and manage KPIs/service-level expectations, inventory metrics, dispense data, and reporting requirements; hold partners accountable while maintaining relationships.
- Ensure patient accessibility through trade partners and specialty pharmacies with compliant processes and operational controls.
- Lead cross-functional efforts (Patient Services, Commercial Ops/Analytics, Finance, IT, Field Sales, Legal/Compliance, Contracting, Supply Chain) to implement channel strategies and improve workflows/data quality.
- Lead/support negotiations for distribution, pricing, data, and service agreements.
- Maintain excellence in leadership, partner management, contracting, compliance, quarter-end management, SOPs, governance, and operational issue resolution.
- Manage operating budget; improve efficiency and simplify processes to strengthen partner performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise two direct reports; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, performance appraisal, and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare products (rare disease/specialty preferred).
- 10+ years in Trade/Channel/Distribution/Specialty Pharmacy/Market Access or related commercial operations.
- Experience building/managing distribution networks; specialty pharmacy relationships; service/data agreements; operational governance.
- Strong specialty pharmacy operations, reimbursement workflows, patient access/coverage, partner management, and contract negotiation knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret inventory, dispense, financial, operational, and service-level data.
- Strong communication skills; MS Office proficiency.
- Sound business judgment balancing business, compliance, operations, and patient access.
- Process improvement mindset and ability to strengthen governance/controls.
- Customer-service mindset; high ethics; solution-oriented.
