Senior Director, Supply Chain Data & Technology
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Vision and Strategy
- Develop, articulate, and execute an AI-powered supply chain technology vision aligned to strategic goals.
- Build a roadmap to transform supply chain using generative/agentic AI, machine learning, and data-driven automation.
- Coordinate planning, logistics, trade, business, product, and technical challenges.
- Partner with Supply Chain leadership to accelerate portfolio/commercial goals and operational excellence.
Operational Execution
- Identify and evaluate opportunities across AI, data products/science, integrations (external/internal), and technology (software/hardware/protocols), including applicability and risks.
- Deliver strategic, flexible, scalable, reusable solutions aligned with architectural principles, standards, and governance.
- Lead with rigor to maximize fiscal/resource/operational effectiveness.
- Manage technology operations that enable drug research and production and maximize ROI.
- Partner with suppliers on compliance, quality, and security.
Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing, diverse team; foster innovation, collaboration, accountability.
- Align supply chain technology with enterprise priorities for data outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, computer science, or related field.
- 10+ years life sciences technology experience; 5+ years in a leadership role.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Deep global supply chain knowledge.
- Extensive complex supply chain technology expertise.
- Extensive experience applying AI/ML to data-intensive supply chain problems.
- Experience with distributed, cloud, and high-performance computing.
- Proven technology strategy development/implementation (preferably pharmaceutical supply chain).
- Strong leadership, communication, compliance/integrity, and problem-solving.
Other Requirements (Preferred)
- Data engineering experience enabling advanced AI/ML.
- Advanced certifications in product, agile, software engineering, cloud, or leadership.
