Position Summary
- Senior Director, Program Management is the program management lead for Travere’s development program in rare immune-mediated kidney diseases and may support other development programs.
- Partners with Program Lead, Strategy Team, and Alliance Management to drive integrated strategy, planning execution, governance, and decision-making across the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional program planning/execution across clinical, regulatory, commercial, access, manufacturing, medical, and nonclinical functions.
- Lead strategy team meetings (agendas, objectives, decision documentation, action-item accountability).
- Build and maintain integrated development plans, timelines, budgets, and risk management frameworks.
- Identify critical path, interdependencies, and risks; implement mitigation.
- Coordinate program governance and prepare decision-ready materials.
- Partner with Program Lead and Alliance Manager for alignment, communication, and governance with partners.
- Partner with Finance on budgeting/forecasting and executive endorsement.
- Contribute to departmental/corporate process improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences (Master’s preferred); or equivalent education/experience.
- 12+ years biotech/pharma development experience.
- 5+ years program/project leadership in complex drug development; strategic planning experience.
- Rare disease/orphan drug/late-stage experience desired.
- Regulatory knowledge (NDA/MAA) and support for submissions.
- Ability to lead/influence in matrixed cross-functional environments.
- Partnership experience preferred, especially with Asia-based partners.
Additional Requirements/Skills
- Strong organization (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet); facilitation and decision-focused meeting leadership.
- International cross-functional team leadership; consensus-building in global matrix.
- Prioritization, resource planning, and clear communication to diverse stakeholders.
- Not expected to be 100% remote; face-to-face work in San Diego as requested.
