Role Responsibilities
- Platform Technical Strategy: Own the technical strategy, translating business priorities, enterprise architecture standards, and emerging technology into a roadmap and target-state architecture.
- Architecture and Design Authority: Define target architecture, technical standards, and integration patterns; ensure major decisions are sound and fit for enterprise scale.
- Platform Engineering Leadership: Lead and develop engineering teams that build and operate the platform; ensure investments are modern, secure, scalable, reusable, and aligned to priorities.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with business/Digital leaders and product owners to turn ambiguous needs into technical choices, delivery models, and measurable outcomes.
- AI-Enabled Delivery: Define responsible use of AI, automation, and modern engineering with appropriate governance and verification.
- Technical Talent and Culture: Build and develop a high-performing engineering team; foster technical excellence, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Reliability, Security, and Governance: Establish expectations for reliability, security, documentation, and operational excellence; ensure compliance, observability, and resilience at global scale.
Qualifications
- Basic: Bachelor’s degree (CS/Engineering/IS or related) + 12+ years senior engineering and technical leadership in enterprise platforms/cloud/large-scale delivery; experience owning platform technical strategy/architecture; ability to lead/develop engineering teams; deep hands-on expertise in modern engineering, cloud, data/integration patterns, APIs, security, and reliability; partner with senior business/Digital stakeholders.
- Preferred: Advanced degree; regulated global enterprise experience; AI-enabled delivery/automation/platform reuse; influence senior leaders; recognized technical depth (e.g., agent platforms, data fabric, developer experience, colleague-facing AI, cyber defense).
