What You'll Do
- Build an innovative Training & Learning Excellence (T&LE) architecture to support continuous learning in a scientifically driven, patient-focused organization.
- Lead curriculum development and training programs using adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and healthcare legal/compliance/regulatory knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Establish an βindustry-bestβ training department aligned to organizational learning objectives for affiliate customer/business needs.
- Conduct learning needs assessments with affiliate business owners to define skill/knowledge gaps.
- Define and implement the right learning mix (ILT, virtual, e-learning, blended, social learning).
- Create and standardize Launch Excellence models for new products/indications.
- Develop and facilitate interactive workshops (disease states, products, marketplaces, contextual selling).
- Manage vendor identification/selection and training vendor relationships (SOW/PO generation and vendor management).
- Lead resource allocation and budgeting via annual business planning.
- Implement training curriculum to grow clinical product/market knowledge and HCP engagement/brand execution.
- Develop training initiatives that translate strategy into actionable behaviors.
- Partner cross-functionally (Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development) to address knowledge gaps.
- Ensure training effectiveness and regulatory compliance with Medical, Regulatory, and Legal/Compliance.
Education/Experience/Skills
- BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in biotech/pharma commercial or medical functions (field sales a plus).
- 5+ years training leadership (field team training preferred).
- Adult learning, curriculum development, project management, learning management system administration.
- Strong facilitation and written/verbal communication; clinical insight across therapeutic areas.
- Vendor management; leadership collaboration; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel ~20%.
