Role Summary
Senior Marketing Director within the lupus franchise, serving as the commercial lead for approved indications (SLE & LN) and future indications, responsible for strategy development and implementing tactics for the US LOC. This role requires interaction with US LOC senior leaders and global counterparts, leading the Integrated Brand Commercialization team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage short- and long-range forecasts; Own brand P&L, ensuring brand annual financial targets are met and resources are effectively utilized
- Set direction and ensure strategic alignment across functional stakeholder groups
- Manage product lifecycle pre- and post-launch, including ongoing brand growth management
- Partner with the global commercial team, ensuring strategy and launch plans reflect needs of US market
- Demonstrate ability to build inclusive, high-performance teams and lead through change management
- Work with BU marketing leadership team to optimize immunology portfolio strategy
- Drive deliverables and workstreams related to governance and organizational decision making
- Maintain detailed understanding of disease and competitive marketplace
- Define customer insights, journeys, and segmentation; product positioning; creative strategy, core messaging and content plans; integrated, cross channel promotional mix
- Define metrics and plans for assessing brand performance
- Foster an environment of innovation, inclusion, challenge, trust, and development
Qualifications
- Required: BS/BA with 10 years commercial experience including sales or marketing, with experience in:
- Brand lifecycle management
- Senior leader engagement
- Matrix team leadership
- Marketing capabilities including messaging/campaign development
- 8+ yearsโ experience in leading and managing teams
- Minimum 6 yearsโ experience in US pharmaceutical/biotech in-line brand marketing
- Minimum 4 yearsโ experience in strategy development and execution
- Budget management; P&L ownership
- Minimum of 2 days per week in office required & ability to travel up to 20% domestically
- Preferred:
- Experience in Immunology, Oncology, or other Specialty and/or Rare Disease
- Second line leadership experience
- Understanding of US Pharmaceutical channel, pricing, and market access strategies
- Data-driven decision making, forecasting and resource allocation
- Marketing capabilities inclusive of customer insight and creative development
- Global brand experience
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills, balanced with strong operational experience
- Launch experience/demonstrated ability to shape the market and utilize innovative go-to-motivated market approaches
