Responsibilities:
- Lead relationships and discussions with GPO/Health System/IDN key decision makers in post-surgical pain management, deploying customized tactics to address unmet customer needs.
- Align internal teams; serve as liaison for external stakeholders to create growth opportunities tied to strategic initiatives for Pacira’s product value proposition.
- Manage all aspects of customer contracts (strategy, execution, and management), including contracting, compliance, tracking, and maintenance.
- Develop engagement strategy and account plans with target IDNs, GPOs, and ASC Chains.
- Lead project management for strategic initiatives; analyze sales data and market trends to identify solutions and opportunities.
- Lead contract negotiations with Health Systems/IDNs to create growth opportunities; track projects and associated metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Marketing, Sales, Operations/Trade, Finance, Medical Affairs, Market Access; plus Compliance, Legal, Ops, Trade) for planning, brand strategy, communication, and cross-functional execution.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with key corporate customer segments to strengthen brand awareness and develop new business opportunities.
- Develop/present product portfolio updates to customers using approved materials; manage regional/national business administration and operational budgets.
- Travel: 60–75%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health science or closely related field.
- Minimum 8 years’ account management experience for IDNs, GPOs, and GPO aggregate accounts, including deep knowledge and relationships at top IDNs.
- Minimum 8 years’ GPO, IDN, and Health System contracting experience.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in-servicing hospital personnel on specialty-area products (e.g., general surgery, orthopedic surgery, anesthesia, operating room, or pain management).
Skills/Abilities (required):
- Manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with executives, sales, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of hospital system (pharmacy, surgical services, supply chain, c-suite).
- Excellent written and oral English communication.
- Coach others on product use and clinical applications (physicians, nurses, other providers).
- Work effectively with minimal supervision; collaborate on cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
