Senior Director, National Accounts

Role: Senior Director of National Accounts responsible for developing and executing strategic engagement with key payers, health plans, and PBMs to ensure market access, coverage, and reimbursement for Satsuma’s migraine therapy, AtzumiTM. Responsibilities include leading payer relationship management, negotiating contracts, and aligning cross-functional teams such as Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, and Commercial to communicate the product’s clinical and economic value. The role involves developing account strategies, monitoring payer policies, mitigating access risks, and providing strategic insights to executive leadership. Leadership duties encompass managing a team of National Account Directors, fostering high performance, and guiding national account initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (advanced preferred), 12+ years in market access or payer strategy within pharma/biotech, with 8+ years of leadership experience. Deep knowledge of U.S. payer, PBM, and formulary landscapes is essential, along with proven negotiation and relationship-building skills at senior levels. Prior experience supporting pharma commercialization is highly desirable. The position may require travel to support customer engagements and business objectives. Compensation ranges from $245,000 to $305,000 USD, with comprehensive benefits. The role is critical in shaping long-term market access strategies for innovative migraine treatments in a biopharma setting.
