Role: Senior Director, Medical Communications, reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs, leading external scientific communications for Verastem's oncology assets, including avutometinib + defactinib and pipeline candidate VS7375. Responsibilities: develop and execute comprehensive Medical Communications strategies, oversee two direct reports managing asset-specific activities, ensure scientific and regulatory compliance, manage external authors and medical information teams, and support evidence generation and congress strategies. Collaborate cross-functionally to align messaging with clinical and regulatory objectives, and represent the function in senior strategic discussions. Qualifications: advanced degree in a scientific discipline (M.Sc., Pharm.D., Ph.D. preferred), 8+ years in pharma with expertise in oncology, proven publication and medical communications leadership, experience in evidence planning, and budget management. High-value: oncology/hematology, ovarian, lung, pancreatic or colon cancer experience, launch background, and familiarity with good publication practices (GPP2022), ICMJE guidelines, and clinical data interpretation.
