Role Summary

Senior Director Marketing Operations and Supply Management. Location: Philadelphia, PA (preferred) or Durham, NC. This role leads U.S. Vaccines Marketing Operations and Supply Management, driving operational excellence across marketing, supply chain, sales and finance to support planning and execution of commercial strategies and end-to-end supply readiness.

Responsibilities

  1. Drive strategic initiatives across marketing to ensure operational excellence and act as the operational backbone of the marketing organization.
  2. Coordinate between marketing, sales, legal, and supply teams to accelerate brand impact and optimize go-to-market execution.
  3. Serve as the single point of contact for Global Supply Chain on all VBU supply issues, bridging global and local supply chain, demand planning, manufacturing and commercial teams.
  4. Lead direct reports focusing on Peer-to-Peer and Marketing coordination.
  5. Develop and execute marketing operations strategies, processes, and systems that support brand and portfolio objectives.
  6. Lead the VBU Operating Plan and support the VBU Strategic Plan, including matrix discussions with US Medical and Vaccines Senior Leaders; present Strategic Plan to Commercial Leadership Team.
  7. Act as the point person for marketing performance measurement and portfolio A&P budget tracking.
  8. Ensure process development/improvement to interface with Sales Operations.
  9. Coordinate Vaccines Marketing Leadership Team to strategize and operationalize key VBU marketing priorities.
  10. Lead reviews of POA recommendations to Marketing leadership; ensure monthly brand performance reviews with coordinated communications.
  11. Act as the commercial lead for supply and inventory management across the full vaccines portfolio, partnering with global and U.S. supply chain teams to ensure demand alignment and supply continuity.
  12. Lead IBP/S&OP process inputs from the commercial side, including demand forecasting, promotional impacts, and seasonality.
  13. Develop clear communications to internal organization, channel partners, customers, and website messaging for GSK Direct.
  14. Coordinate labeling changes, packaging updates, and new SKU introductions with Supply Chain and Regulatory teams.
  15. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of operations and supply performance; escalate KPIs to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Scientific or Operations management; 10+ years of progressive pharmaceutical/biotech experience across marketing operations, commercial strategy, and/or supply chain.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in marketing, business management or operations management.
  • Strong understanding of US market customers, policy-makers and decision makers; ability to work in complex, matrixed environments; data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record in S&OP/IBP, demand forecasting, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and manage cross-functional stakeholders; capable of strategic thinking with executional focus.
  • Broad commercial experience including brand lifecycle management and category/disease/product strategy development.
